He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Koszewski and Cecilia Koszewski; his daughter Debbie McConkey; and his grandson Garrett Amey. He is survived by: his wife Gerri; his children, Kip Koszewski (Brigid), Cindi Amey (Eric) and Jaclyn Cadieux (Michael); his son-in-law Dave McConkey; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Cecilia Koszewski, Abigail, Gwen McConkey, Evan and Chloe Cadieux; and his sister Barbara Madak (late Mike).

Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A prayer was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (18201 23 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI 48042). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
