She was predeceased by: her husband John Gietzen; her parents, Leon Carlier and Luisa Carlier (DeBacker); and her siblings, Adrien Carlier, Marcel Carlier, Josef DeBel, Maria DeSmet and Yvonne DeSmet (Helen).
