He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Strong and Agnes Strong (Renusch); his wife Kathryn Mokanyk; and his siblings, Robert, Donald, Dorothy, Evelyn, Gloria, Thomas, James and Shirley.

He is survived by : his children, Edward Strong (Denise), Lorie Strong and Pamela Kathryn; his grandchildren, Jessica Strong (Greg), Aidan Moriarty (Bridget) and Emily Moriarty; his great grandchildren, Harrison and Madison Myslinski; and his sister Jean Johns (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
