He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmet J. Gennette, Sr. and Nelda C. Gennette (Moreland). He is survived by: his wife Joann M. Jones; his children, Pauline Rhodes (Craig) of Monroe, Washington, Joseph Gennette (Pamela) of Denison, Texas, John Gennette of Chesterfield, Michigan and Maryann Hall (Jacob) of Petoskey, Michigan; his siblings, Daniel Gennette of Eastpointe, Michigan, Thomas Gennette of North Port, Michigan, Patricia Slivik of Mesa, Arizona, Kenneth Gennette of Eastpointe, Michigan and Joann Kerber (Kory) of Shelby Twp, Michigan; his in-laws, Jeffery, Sandra Jones of Roseville, Jackie and Jerry Hall of Wilmington; his siblings, Donna, Mary, Emmett Gennette, Jr. and Dennis Gennette; and his in-laws, Jerry Jones of Lillian, Alabama, Jordan Jones of Jacksonville, Texas and Janet of Livingston, Texas.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ss Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church (41233 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48314). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
