He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arnold Aiken and Helen Aiken (Edmond); his spouse Gayle Carter; his son John Patterson Aiken III; his sister Nancy Vail (James); his sisters-in-law, Valerie LaPlante (Mike) and Melodie Carter-Yeager; and his nieces and nephews, Emmalie Abitua (Nicholas), Sarah Large (Josh), Jacob Yeager (Jill), Monica Yeager (Damien Wallace), Rachel Vail-McClure (Jen), Jeannette Hanowsky (Michael), Amanda Lute (Nathan) and Rebecca Vail (Danae). He was also cherished by many other extended family members and friends.
