He was predeceased by: his parents, Karla Hoffmann and Hans Hoffmann; and his brothers, Gerhard Hoffmann and Detlef Hoffmann. He is survived by: his wife Karin Hoffmann; his children, Oliver Hoffmann and Elisabeth Fischer (Andrew); his grandchildren, Joel Fischer (Brianne), Hope Ciotti (Nicholas), Catharine Hoffmann, Alexander Lothar Hoffmann (Fiona), Thomas Hoffmann and Erich Hoffmann; his great grandchild Evelyn Fischer; and his brother Peter Hoffmann.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St Clair County Humane Society in Lothar's memory.
