Richard P. McLaughlin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 16, 2025, at the age of 102, Richard P. McLaughlin of Macomb, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene McLaughlin and Clara McLaughlin; his siblings, Eugene Arthur and Irene (Genevieve); his former wife Shirlee Creagh; and his son-in-law Roger Barker.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Despres (Greg), Gayle Barker (Tom Kane), Barbara Burton (Brodie) and Richard Jr.; his son-in-law John Peardon; his grandchildren, Alyssa Peardon Crowder, Amy Bultynck (Todd), Andrea Peardon, Bradley Burton (Chanelle Pickens), Bret Burton (Carryn), Bryan Barker (Jenna) and Timothy Barker (Tiffany); and his great grandchildren, Austin Crowder, Gracyn, Gabrielle, Dylann Bultynck, Eva, Brodie Burton, Trexon Barker, Calista, Danica Barker and Wyatt Richard Peardon.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors-Royal Oak (705 W Eleven Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48067). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the National Shrine (2100 12 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48073).
The family has requested memorials in Dick's name be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation (https://www.garysinisefoundation.org.) or Hospice of Michigan (https://secure.qgiv.com.).
