He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Verkest and Bernice Verkest (Rosemary); and his siblings, Marlene, Beverly, Bill, Ricky and Maryanne.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rose and Sue (Jeff); his brother-in-law Derwood; his siblings' children, Steve and Peggy; his children, Kathy (Chuck), Amy (William), Peggy, Susan (Jeff) and Steve (Becky); his siblings, Tom, Suzanne (late Derwood) and Karen; his grandchildren, Courtney (Aeryn), Elizabeth, Anthony (Emily), Michael (Haley), Helena (Michael), Mary, Catriona, Will, Ben, Wendy, Shane and Jamieson; and his wife Rosemary. He is also survived by eight beautiful great-grandchildren.
