He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Rice and Anna Rice; his wife Diane Elizabeth Rice; his daughter Sheryl Ann Rice; and his siblings, Russell Jr. Rice, Betty Rice, Robert Rice and Darlene Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Susanne Elizabeth and Steven Thomas Rice (Heidi); his grandchildren, Faith White, Macy Rice, Parker Rice and Grace White; and his brother James Rice (Phoebe). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
