Elmer John Maue Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmer John Maue (Madison Heights, Michigan), born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Julie; his wife Marian; his parents, Bernard Maue and Loretta Maue; his siblings, Bernard, Harold, Edward, Mary, Robert (Tony), Virgina and Hildegard; and his grandchildren, Kari, Kris and Joey.

He is survived by: his children, Denis Maue (Paula), David Maue (Marlene), Kathy Williams (Steve), Daale Maue (Cathy), Duane Maue (Lori), Karla Brocker (Mike) and Deane Maue (Lora); his grandchildren, Dan (Emily), Becky (Scott), Angela, William, Jonathan, Kelly (Paul), Matthew, Ashley (Justin), Alexandra, Ryneria, Kevin, Nicholas, Giancarlo, Carlina, Jennifer, Mike and Scott Brocker; his great grandchildren, Creighton, Langdon, Ellyanna, Jeffrey, Violet, Paul (Larissa), Thomas (Kate), Zeb (Heather), Anthony (Jade), Alexander, Jesse (Makkenzey), Zoey and Noel; and his great great grandchildren, Xander, Grace, Olivia and Lelia. He is also survived by great- great grandchildren, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home (30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the St Rene Goupil Catholic Parish (35955 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48310). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Rene Goupil Catholic Church (35955 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48310).
