“My Father, Dean Mathias, was a lifelong best friend to Jerry. These photos are representative of the last time my dad ever saw Jerry. He traveled to Traverse City Michigan to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary in 2002. He was my dad‘s best man at their wedding and so he sat at the head table throughout the party. My dad unfortunately passed away October 13, 2025. We just recently realized that Jerry passed only a couple months before my dad. My dad saved every letter Jerry wrote him.”
