With sadness, we share the passing of Joan Margo McMeekin (Madison Heights, Michigan). Joan passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Barrick, Sr. and Teresa Hall; and her husband John Bell McMeekin, III. She is survived by: her brother Clifton Barrick, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Garret, Nathan, Trisha, Alisha, Shane, Susan, Tiffany, John and Mathew; Luann Brehmer, John Bell McMeekin, Heidi McMeekin and Jill Schultz (Mike). She is also survived by nurses and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hopcroft Funeral Home-Madison Heights (31145 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In addition to those who may wish to send flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (https://www.alzfdn.org.) in her honor would also be appreciated.
