James will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor James by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though James is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. James’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dann and Olga Dann (Bailey); his grandparents, Joseph, Viva Bailey, Ivan and Hilda Dann; and his stepgrandmother Charlotte Bailey.
He is survived by: his sister Viva Dann of Mancelona.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes (205 W State St, Mancelona, MI 49659).
