He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Benney (Shouse); his children, Don Edward Benney Jr. (Mercy) and Michelle Lee Benney; and his grandchildren, Kirsten Applegate (Stephen) and Tyler Moore. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
