With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecil Dale Somsel of Manistee, Michigan, born in Brethren, Michigan, who passed away on October 24, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Somsel and Lulu Somsel (Hanes); and his siblings, Walter, Arthur, Carl, May, Audrey, Edna, Bethel and Dena.
He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Jim Somsel (Holly) of Tecumseh, MI, Mark Somsel (Rebecka) of Long Beach, MS, Chris Somsel (Kirsten) of Whitehall, MI, Rebekkah Bigelow (Waine) of Mt. Morris, MI, Bobbie Somsel of Traverse City, MI, Leah Somsel and Jennifer Somsel; his grandchildren, Erin Somsel, Ryan Somsel and Erik McKay; his stepgrandchildren, Kayla Bigelow, Nathan Bigelow, Bentley Anderson and Harper Anderson; his brother Dewey Somsel (Donna); his brother-in-law Jim Hanson (Pat Lynett); and his friend Scott Yankee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be given to Valley Lutheran High School - 3560 McCarty Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48603.
