She was predeceased by: her parents, Beverly Carney (Moseler) and Earl Carney; her niece Christina Wood; and her pet Bennett. She is survived by: her husband Michael Passage; her children, Heather Johnson (Nate), Ashley Melchert (Justin), Jill Passage, Bradley Passage (Heidi) and Nick Passage (Amber); her mother-in-law Susie Passage; her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Payton, Brooklynn, Bella, Alekza, Cooper, Greyson, Malania, Cole, Blake, Eli, Georgia and Kendin; her siblings, Anita Moon (Ron), Audrey Coleman (Ron), Kristi Carney and Jeffery Carney (Linda); and her sister-in-law Paula Port (Michael). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As Denise always thought of others before herself, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of her can be made to the WillStrong Foundation at Safe Harbor Credit Union of Ludington, MI to help others fighting cancer.
