He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner Johnson and Sophie Johnson (Mikula); his brother-in-law James Courtney; his parents-in-law, Nels "Swede" and Mary Andersen (Zwiefka); and his siblings-in-law, Maren Balcer, Donald, Robert Andersen and Edward Remeika.
He is survived by: his wife Constance "Connie" Johnson of Manistee, MI; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Vilma Johnson of Wheeling, IL; his grandson Noah Johnson of Wheeling, IL; and his sisters, Diane Courtney of Coppell, TX, Sharon (Art Minster) of Manistee, MI, Mary Ann (Art Nickleson) of Manistee, MI, Suzanne Remeika (Frank Balcer) of Merritt Island, FL, Linda Andersen of Manistee, MI and Dori Andersen of Muskegon, MI.. He is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
