He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Fortier and Clara Fortier (Bluhm); and his siblings, Marjorie Fortier, Douglas Fortier, William Fortier, Milton Fortier, Percy Fortier Jr. (Jane) and James Fortier (Marcia).
He is survived by: his close friends, Jim and Meg K.; his great-niece Ashley Johnson (Matt); and also, Payton and Crosby. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manistee County Historical Museum.
