He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Wittlieff and Edith Wittlieff; and his brother-in-law Floyd Stendel. He is survived by: his wife Marcy Edel; his sons, Raymond (Sally), Marcel (Candace), Anthony (Deana) and Christopher (Martha); the mother of his children Isabella; his stepchildren, Jennifer Kroepel (Ted), Michelle Gillespie and Patrick Gillespie (Brooke); his siblings, Raymond Wittlieff (Mary), Anthonette Stendel, Julie Gould (Robert) and Barbara Witkowski (Richard); and his friend Chuck Owens. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (254 6th St, Manistee, MI 49660). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at the Mount Carmel Cemetery (1094 Merkey Rd W, Manistee, MI 49660).
