He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reinhold Batzer and Rose Ethel Batzer (Dontz); and his brothers, Thomas W. Batzer and William Batzer. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Batzer (Miller) of Manistee; his daughters, Margaret Batzer, Martha Batzer-O'Herron and Christine Batzer; his brother Dr. Theodore Batzer (Dorothy); his stepson Adam Dontz; his son-in-law Patrick O'Herron; and his grandson Dallas James O'Herron. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
