She was predeceased by: her parents, John McGowen and Audrey McGowen; and her sisters, Pat Wiggins of Texas and Betty Plunk of Texas. She is survived by: her former husband George Benedict Jr.; her children, George "Chip" Benedict IV (Kim) and Amy Johnson (Ron); her grandchildren, Ryan Johnson (Renee), Jillian Johnson, Austin Benedict and Colin Benedict; and her great grandchildren, Conner, Alex, Maddie and Aiden.
