Lucy Ann Swanson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucy Ann Swanson of Manistee, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Lucy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Lucy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Barhitte and Rosa Barhitte (Steinberg); her siblings, Jack Barhitte and Mary Fox (Barhitte); her husband Frederick Swanson; and her son Robert Swanson.

She is survived by: her sister Christine Barhitte; her daughter Anna DeRooy (Swanson); and her grandchildren, Bradford Medacco, Corey Swanson and Nyssa Watkins (Swanson).

Instead of flowers, donations may be made in Lucy's memory to the American Heart Association.
