She was predeceased by: her father George Gilbert; and her husband Roy Foster. She is survived by: her mother Flora Gilbert (Gonser); her children, Michael Jordan (Valentina) and Shelby Jordan (Mark Kane); her sisters, Kristen Altermatt (Bob) and Becky Flaherty (Dan); her siblings' children, Kyle, Jamie Altermatt and Colin Flaherty; and her pet Scrappy Doo. She is also survived by Aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home - Manistee (309 W Parkdale Rd, Manistee, MI 49660). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Melinda's memory to Disabled American Veterans—a cause close to her heart.
