He was predeceased by : his adoptive parents, Robert Laws and Gwendolyn Laws; his father Ronald Fleek; and his siblings-in-law, Gabriel Vallie and Heidi Errickson.
He is survived by : his wife Paula Laws; his children, Haley Perry (Ted) and Tucker Laws; his parents-in-law, Brenda and John Gauthier; his mother Jean Sanders (John); and his siblings, Chris Laws (Bonny), Jacob Clevenger (Rachael) and Sarah Almy (Matthew). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made in Rod's honor to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, or to Six Feet Over, a non-profit organization that fights to prevent suicide in Michigan and provides emotional and financial support to those left in the wake of suicide loss.
