We announce the death of Barbara McDonald of Manistique, Michigan, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 71. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Messer and Arlean Messer (Dixon); her husband Robert McDonald of Manistique; and her brothers, Barry Messer, John B. Messer and Boyd Messer.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Kay, Scott, Lynn, Patrick and Tanya; and her siblings, Stanley Messer, Arthur Messer, Richard Messer and Beverly Miller. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wood Cemetery.
