In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gunard Swanson and Ina Swanson (Nessman); her former husband Ralph Ekstrom; and her husband Edwin Gundersen. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Ekstrom (Roberta Ebli Ekstrom) of Arvada, Richard Ekstrom (Johanna Worley) of Marquette and Steve Ekstrom (Patti) of Manistique; and her stepsons, Gordon Gundersen (Mary Lou) of Maryland, Kenneth Gundersen (Susan) of Michigan and James Gundersen (Deb) of Michigan. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
