He is survived by: his mother Mary Prater (Mathison) of Manistique; his children, Alissa Hurley (Ben) of Farmington Hills and Garret Prater of Westland; his granddaughter Kendall Hurley; and his brother Kerry Prater of Manistique. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
