With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Muriel Whitman of Manistique, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Muriel left this world on November 25, 2025 at the age of 100, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Muriel departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Muriel. Though Muriel may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Farley and Aurora Farley (Guertin); her husband Walter Whitman, Jr.; and her son David Whitman. She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Whitman (Sue) of Manistique, Jeffrey Whitman (Lana) of Schofield, WI and Wayne Whitman (Cathy) of Holt, MI. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to St. Francis de Sales School or to the Schoolcraft Historical Society.
