She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon I. Stroberg and Ellen J. Stroberg (Carlson); her husband Harold Dontje; her sons, Vaughn Dontje and Gerald Dontje; and her sister Mary Fillingam.

She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Dontje (Bonnie), Darrell Dontje (Jackie), Alan Dontje (Tammy) and Douglas Dontje (Bonnie); and her daughters-in-law, Martha Wolf (Neil) and Rita Dontje. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be designated for the Gilbert Trinity Lutheran Church, Manton, Michigan.
