He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Coomer and Verna Mae Rutledge Coomer; his siblings, Mildred and Jimmy Dale Coomer; and his stepsons, Tim Cockrell and Mark Cockrell.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his sister Gladys Gregson; and his children, Phillip Coomer (Kathy) and Jennifer Redd (Kevin). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
