He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Ekkes and Maria Pieternella. He is survived by: his sons, John Richard and David Mark; his wife Aletha Renee; his daughters, Marian Zwart (Mark) and Renee Nibbelink (Doug); his grandchildren, Luke Zwart (Katie), Jake Zwart (Mauna Dasari), Ian Nibbelink and Alison Nibbelink; his stepchildren, Holly Hartz (Doug), John Kelly (Portia Fong), Kristen Fyfe (Craig) and Kevin Kelly (Bobbie); his grandchildren, Dustin Hartz, Kaitlin McDaniel (Luke), Rachel Kelly, Sarah Johnson (Ryan), Cyndi Williams (Conor), Brett Fyfe, Joe Kelly (Haley), Amanda Kelly, Alison Kelly, Kristen Kelly, Ben Kelly (Jennie) and James Kelly; and his brother Jan Oosterbaan (Liz). He is also survived by his five siblings, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and special friends.
