It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Wade Smafield (Marine City, Michigan), born in Port Huron, Michigan, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Smafield and Helen Smafield (Draper-Hartnett); and his siblings, Vernon "Jim" J. Hartnett, Herbert "Al" A. Hartnett and Eliza H. Smafield.

He is survived by : his siblings, Harriett Short (Lauren) of Attica, Tim Smafield (Peg) of Sterling Heights and Gina Day (George) of Port Huron. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
