She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Petchauer and Doris Petchauer (Warber); her husband Fredrick Hower; her brother Michael Petchauer; her parents-in-law, John and Edna Hower (Hopkins); and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Peterson, Shirley Gregg, John Hower (Dorothy), Bill Hower (Sherry) and Dale Peterson.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Hower (Sandy Maleitzke) of Marion and Leigh A. Hower of Grand Rapids; her grandson Brian Hower (Brianna Simpson) of Marion; her great grandchildren, Kwyn, Charlei, Henry and Rowan Hower; her sister Carole Segelstrom (David) of California; and her in-laws, Betty Fox of Marion, Dale Hower (Sherri) of Marion and Leonard Gregg of Marion. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
