He was predeceased by : his parents, Maynard Downing and Ruth Downing (Neebes); his wife Mary Katherine Downing (Boyd); his brother Lonnie; and his sister-in-law Betsy Baughan (Boyd).
He is survived by : his daughter Suzanne Sipe (David) of Petoskey; his grandson Tucker; his son Mark Downing (Stephanie) of Marion; his grandchildren, Tommy, Taylor, Skylaar and Devynn; his brothers, Ronald Downing (Rachel) of Venice, FL and John Downing (Mary) of Marion; and his in-laws, George Boyd (June) of Mancelona and Linda Baughan of Marion. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
