William Walker Obituary

Call: Marlette 989-635-3658 - Sandusky 810-648-2244.

Bill was born January 11th, 1950 to the late Robert and Rosemary (Sauder) Walker. He was married to Connie Boven on August 21, 1971. He absolutely loved farming. He started early going places with Grandpa Charlie and his Dad. They'd travel down existing roads all over. He was in the fields and in milking cows as soon as they let him. He was an active member of the Germanic Silver Stars 4-H club, which was created by his Grandma Jenny. He had so many stories of those times. He just loved animals. He would do anything for them. Even risked his life when the barn burnt down in 1993. He got out after being trapped under a beam. He heard the song the Christian singing group that Sheree toured with. "Shut de do". And that's what he did. He ran out of the barn and everything was alright. He had a motorcycle years ago and loved it. One thing he liked was when he got the two little motorcycles and then a three and a four wheeler. He loved riding! He loved wrestling. He took his family to many matches. Eventually Bill and Connie would also take the family to mat chats as well. Those times we are grateful for. He loved the fair. The Walkers were frequent showing animals. Even after the fire, we were there. He grew up in the family church..Second Presbyterian Church. Right down the road. If the quilt is still on the wall his name is on it. The final church he was with, Bible Truth Baptist church, he enjoyed. He found peace in God. Missing him terribly is his wife, Connie Walker; his daughter, Sheree (Tim) Canfield and his son , William Walker. Bill has four grandchildren, Anna Parris, Christopher Walker, Jeremiah Canfield and his "Rosebud," Rachel Canfield. He was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Anna's kids, Cayden and Jai. He is also survived by his sister, Cynthia (Lee) Wood and brother, Marcos (Jean) Bacelis. He loved so many of the kids that came to his house. Some he felt like the extra Dad, some like Lori Draper and Linda King and loved them dearly. He had many nieces and a nephew on his side, and many more on the Boven side. Lots of cousins too. He loved and was blessed by all. Those who made the trip first include his Mom and Dad, Bob and Rosemary, a brother, Randy, his son, Charlie and 3 other kids who are in heaven and many more. Can you imagine that reunion?? Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26 at 1:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette. Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:00. Pastor Bryce Hager will be leading the service. William will be cremated after the service. His urn will be buried at a later time in the Mcleish Cemetery, where he would assist with many things. If you choose to, donations can be made to the family in care of his wife, Connie Walker. Please keep the family in your prayers. We pray God gives you peace.
