He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Blackmer and Dorothy Blackmer; his brother Bentley Blackmer; and his sister-in-law Marcia Scollon. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Blackmer (Rudolph); his children, Kimberly Rewa (Ben), Gordon M. Blackmer (Laurie), Lisa Alt (Rick), Joseph Blackmer (Tracey), Gerald Blackmer and Sally Jo Pleva (Donald); and his siblings-in-law, Cynthia Kline, Valerie Garvelink (Tom), Melinda Barnes (Bruce) and Bob Scollon. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, Marne or Faith Hospice.
