He was predeceased by: his father Louis E. Maggini. He is survived by: his mother Lucille Maggini; his sister Francine; his children, Tia Maggini of Los Angeles, CA, Joe Maggini Jr. of Los Angeles, CA and Jenna Jackovich of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Josie and Luca Jackovich of Charlotte, NC; his sister Louisa Nally of Grand Rapids, MI.; and his grandchildren, RaShaun of Grand Rapids, Shayleigh of Grand Rapids, Madison of Grand Rapids, Preston of Grand Rapids, Essence of Grand Rapids, Zuriah of Grand Rapids and Sophie Banks of Grand Rapids.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Church (2230 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
His contributions to Holy Spirit and Catholic education were numerous.
