She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mattson and Esther Mattson (Anderson); and her former husband James Lahtinen, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Paul Matthews; her son James Lahtinen (Ellen); her grandchildren, Patrick Lahtinen, Brittany Mobley (Brian) and Bryan Huie (Carrie Lankford); her great grandchildren, Kendall, Delanie, Kaylee, Abby, Riley, Logan, Adaleigh, Bodie and Myles; her sister Katherine Marcotte Sr. (Robert); her nephews, Robert (Kathy) and Greg (Darrell Brown); and her brother William Mattson, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Koskey Funeral Home (106 W Main St, Negaunee, MI 49866). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Bea's memory to Bethany Lutheran Church in Negaunee.
