She was predeceased by : her siblings, Leonard Fluette, Mary Ann Vandezande, John Fluette, Linnea Sansone and Jeanne VanAbel.

She is survived by : her husband Neal "Buster" Alexander; her sons, Timothy Black of Marquette, Randy Black (Denise LaJoye) of Marquette and Brian Black (Ann Koepp) of Marquette; and her stepchildren, Debbie Lefebvre (Keith) of Marquette and Dan Alexander (Dawn) of Baraga. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UPAWS (Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter) 815 S. M-553, Gwinn, MI 49841.
