Elzinga of Marquette, Michigan, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on October 25, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene R. and Evelyn C. Elzinga, Sr. (Dandoy); his wife Katherine Elzinga of Marquette; his sons, Don Elzinga, Jr. of Fenton, MI, Steve Elzinga (Lisa) of Marquette and Jon Elzinga of Marquette; his grandchildren, Katrina Elzinga and Jake Elzinga; his siblings, Eugene Elzinga of Marquette and Judith Samonte (Quirico) of Ann Arbor, MI; and his sister-in-law Nettie Jean Elzinga. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Don's name to the Marquette Maritime Museum, PO Box 1096, Marquette, MI 49855.
