He was predeceased by: his parents, George Arntsen and Betty Arntsen; his daughter Veronica Campbell; his brother Ron Arntsen (Jean Arntsen); his grandson Caleb Arntsen; and his niece Melany Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Arntsen; his sons, Eric Arntsen of Marquette, Jon Arntsen (Tia) of Marquette and Joe Arntsen (Debbie) of Marquette; his stepdaughter Kris McKirdy (Peter) of Cooper City, Florida; his grandchildren, Mackenzie DeLuca (Nathan), Olivia, Quinn Arntsen, Ryan, Catherine, Zachary McKirdy, Cole Arntsen, Teesha and Teneesha Campbell; and his great grandchild Peter Jon DeLuca.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Canale Tonella Funeral Home and Cremation Services (526 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gene's name to a charity of your choice.
