He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Ellis and Lois Marie Ellis (Guerndt); his parents-in-law, Elwin and Ruth Bell; his daughter Carrie Rose; and his grandson Benjamin Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon R. Ellis of Marquette; his children, Christine Ellis of Marquette, Catherine Tuimala of Marquette, Connie Horton (Shawn) of Sault Ste, Vince Tuimala (Carolyn) of Negaunee and Michael Tuimala (Vickie) of Boynton Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Dustin, Dylan Ellis, Adam Tuimala, Zack (Taryn), Nick (Lauren), Seth Horton, Cory Stille (Robin), Amy Johnson (Adam) and Kaitlin Tuimala; his sisters, Louanne Stam (Duane) of Negaunee and Patti Blake of Marquette; and his pet Kadie Soo. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
