James R. Richards Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Richards of Marquette, Michigan, who passed away on April 22, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Richards and Charlotte H. Richards (Lofaro); and his son Tracy James. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Richards (Rosewall) of John's Church; his daughter Lisa Ely (Scott); his grandchildren, Garner Richards (Samantha), Holt Richards (Brooke), Ryan Ely (Sydney) and Rachel Tabbert (Austyn); his great grandchildren, Carter, Cooper, Dylan, Callie and Conner; his siblings, Suzanne Luchs (Barry), Gerald Richards (Sandy) and Michael Richards (Barb Thomas); his daughter-in-law Naomi Lahners (Richards); his in-laws, William Edwin and Evangeline Rosewall; and his sister-in-law Kathy Richards. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral & Cremation Services (926 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
