He was predeceased by: his father Ward Dewitt; and his brother Dale Dewitt. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Dewitt of Marquette; his sons, Patrick Dewitt (Holly) of Big Bay, MI and Kevin Dewitt (Sarah O'Neill) of Marquette; his granddaughters, Eva, Clare and Ireland; his siblings, Richard Dewitt (Connie) of Watertown, WI, Timothy Dewitt (Mary) of Holland, MI, Steven Dewitt of Hulbert, MI and Sandra Kalbfleisch (Bryan) of Gwinn, MI; his sister-in-law Darlene Dewitt of Holland; and his close friend Dexter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
