He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Thomann and Norene Thomann (Kemp); his brother Edward Thomann; and his son-in-law Bill Malandrone. He is survived by: his children, John Edward "Jake" Thomann (Tracy) of Marquette, Julia Katherine Malandrone of Marquette, Joseph Ambrose Thomann of Marquette, James Thomas Thomann of Orlando, FL and Roberta Richer; and his grandchildren, Kimberly LeGalley (Jon) of Marquette, Ryan Malandrone of Marquette, Jason Thomann of Orlando, FL, Jarryd Thomann of Orlando, FL and Jehdrah Thomann of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
