It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Sloney (Marquette, Michigan), who passed away on January 7, 2019, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Viljo "William" and Maria Mattila (Humalamaki); her children, Douglas Sloney of San Bernardino, CA, Pamela Tull of Mesa, AZ, Willard "Bud" Sloney of Palmdale, CA and Judith Mattila (Fred) of Champion, MI; her siblings, Martha Hill of Hancock, MI, Elias Mattila (Shirlee) of Silverdale, WA, Ronald Mattila of Palmer, MI and Fredrick Mattila of Champion; her stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Tull (Danette), Jenifer Tull-Gauger (Kirk), Brenda Mondragon, Kevin VandyBogurt (Michelle), Korinna Rafferty (Michael), Nicholas VandyBogurt (Amy), Don Mattila, Mark Mattila (Marisa), Erik Mattila, Jeremy Mattila and Eli Mattila (Amanda); and her husband Willard Sloney. She was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren, along with great great grandchildren, great great step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
