He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Getchell and Ella Getchell (Buddington); his sister Betty Chipman; and his son James Getchell. He is survived by: his wife Aline Pratte; his daughter Kathy Horton (Mike) of Marquette; his grandchildren, Andrew Getchell (Molly) of Hudsonville, MI, Alex Getchell (Kristen) of Franklin, IN, Tyler Horton (Claire) of Hood River, OR and Brianne Farr (Steve) of Marquette; and his great grandchildren, Luke Getchell, Hannah Getchell, Madelyn Getchell, Matilda Farr, Gifford Horton, Rosie Farr and Neah Horton.
In lieu of flowers, suggested memorial donations can be directed to the Trillium House in Marquette.
