In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Lois leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Lois may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl H. Friberg and Mae E. Friberg (Walz); her husband Joseph I. LaBrecque; and her close friend Ron Helgren. She is survived by: her son Joe S. LaBrecque (Rebecca) of Marquette; and her granddaughter Lauren LaBrecque. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (305 W Magnetic St, Marquette, MI 49855). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (1400 Wright St, Marquette, MI 49855).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or the Peter White Public Library—two places that reflected Lois's faith and her lifelong love of learning.
