She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Alford and Dolores Henrietta LaFaive (Glaser); her sister Susan A. LaFaive; and her siblings-in-law, Sharyl LaFaive and Bruce Dupras.

She is survived by: her husband Richard P. Smith; her siblings, Fran French (Michael) and Al LaFaive; her in-laws, Bruce Smith, Linda Smith and Kathy Dupras; and her nieces and nephews, Jennifer Dupras, Melissa Baker (Philip), Monica LaFaive, Jason Dupras, Nick LaFaive and Matoska Waci.
