Rita Belle Salter Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Rita Belle Salter in Marquette, Michigan. Rita, born on November 29, 1938, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hoar and Frances Hoar (Sine); her husband Louis W. Salter; and her son Lee. She is survived by: her daughter Debra Hagie (Donn) of New Berlin, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Crystal Gericke (Trent) and Allison Metzger (Craig); and her great grandchildren, Rhett, Adalyn, Blake, Layne and Louis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (190 N Cedar St, Manistique, MI 49854). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter in Manistique, Michigan.
